        I haven’t looked at any printed chess mags in many years. Most of my info comes from the internet. But I used to like various state and local publications, and who can forget Chess Chow or the Chessman comic books ;-).

        I never liked Chess Life.

        I do read sometimes read Chess Life. However, it is not really for the professional level. Yes, I am fluent in Russian.

        I don’t read paper magazines. Too much ink goes under fingernails. Only New York Times. There is chess there often enough.

        I am French, and sometimes I try to read Europe Echecs, the technical articles are very good, but the blah blah articles are so ill written and irritating I have stopped buying it.

        NORTHWEST CHESS Magazine a monthly printed magazine covering events in Washington and Oregon. It is one of few monthly publications on chess in the USA and has been since 1948!

        Learn Danish. Bent Larsen still regularly writes articles in the quarterly(?) magazine (Skakbladet) for the Danish Chess Union. 🙂
