      Cuban IMs Obregon Rivero and Quesada Perez tie for the first place at Memorial Marcel Sisniega

      The 2nd International Chess Festival “Memorial Marcel Sisniega” took place from November 11th to November 16th, 2015, in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico.

      The event was a 9-round Swiss open tournament with tempo of play 90’ + 30” and 64 players from 9 different countries participated.

      Cuban IMs Juan Carlos Obregon Rivero and Yasser Quesada Perez tied for the first place with 7/9 points, leaving GM Emilio Cordova from Peru and GM Gilberto Hernandez Guerrero from Mexico half a point behind.

      WIM Zenia Corrales Jimenez emerged the best female player with 5.5 points and 15th place in the final ranking.
