        1) Rg6;….every answer is useless. 1)….; R:g6 – 2) h:g6 (or f:g6); f:g6 – 3) f:g6 (or h:g6); K:g6 (Kg8 ibidem) – 4) N:e7+ and black Q down. Ide. if 1)….; f:g6 and Rook later…
        Have a good day!

        Gilberto,
It is not simply winning Q. It is a forced mate in all variations. 4.Qg2+ and black K can not go either h7 or h5 without getting mated. If 1…. Nc3+ white should take with neither N nor B ;N is required for bishop’s support and B is required at f6 only to guard g7 and g5 to effect mate.white should reply 1….. Nxc3+ 2.Ka1

        1.Rg6 ( threatens 2.Qxh6#)Nc3+
        2.Ka1

        (In the beginning I had not foreseen white’s 7th move and had shied away from this variation.2.Bxc3 fxg6 3.hxg6+ Rxg6 4.fxg6+ Kxg6 5.Qg2+ Kh5 6.Nf4+ Kh4 7.Be1#)
        2…Rxg6
        3.fxg6+ fxg6
        4.hxg6+ Kxg6

        (4…Kg8 5.Qxh6 exf6 6.Nxf6#)
        5.Qg2+ Kf7

        (5…Kh5 6.Nf4#)
        (5…Kh7 6.Qg7#)
        6.Qg7+ Ke8
        7.Qxe7#

The analysis of Prof.S.G Bhat is correct. Rg6 is undisputed because the king is cramped. Black’s best move is 1… Nc3+ offering white to make a bad move like 2. bxc3?? But White can answer Nc3+ with Bxc3 and still win. Then black is forced into taking the Rook in order to prolong the mating attack.
