Congratulations to FIDE Honorary Member Dato Tan Chin Nam on his 90th birthday today, 18 March 2016.
Dato Tan became the first FIDE Deputy President for Asia in 1982 and was an active member of the FIDE Exectutive Board before his retirement.

Congratulation in turning 90. He is a Malaysian of Chinese ethnicity. He was also responsible in staring the Chess revolution in Malaysia/Singapore and China. The high Chess standard achieved in China today was because of him.
