      Deysi Cori wins 2017 Women’s Continental Championship

      Deysi Cori, Women's Continental Championship

      13:05. Buenos Aires (Argentina), Sep. 18.

      Peruvian Woman Grand Master Deysi Cori was crowned winner of the Women’s Continental Championship 2017, after defeating compatriot Ingrid Aliaga. Thus, Cori managed to win a ticket to the Women’s World Team Championship 2017 taking place in Khanty-Mansiysk (Russia) on June 16-27.

      It must be noted the 24-year-old has won several chess competitions around the world, including more than three FIDE World Championships and two World Youth Chess Tournaments. As is known, Cori was the youngest female chess player of all time to win the Grand Master title.
