      Egypt, National Championship, Women's Chess


      The Egyptian Championship For Women 2014 was held from 8th to 13th February at the Shooting Club Egypt in Cairo.

      27 female players competed in the 9-round Swiss event. WIM Ayah Moaataz convincingly won the national title with 8,5/9 points, leaving the nearest follower a full point behind.

      The Championship was managed by IA/IO Said Hassanin, FA/FI Merihan Mahmoud and Magdy Aly.

      Final standings:

      1. WIM Moaataz Ayah 1967 – 8.5
      2. WFM Abdelmenaem Sohayla 1746 – 7.5
      3-4. Mahmoud Hadeer 0 and WCM Elansary Eman 1854 – 6
      5-6. Hassan Hala 1870 and Mohamed Enas 0 – 5.5
      7-13. Abdel Hamid Sabreen 1718, Elgohary Myada 1770, Osman Amal 0, WCM Gamal Eldin Zeinab 1608, El Sayed Nabawya 0, Zayan Alaa 0 and Ehab Tasneem 0 – 5
      14-16. Mohsen Hend 1755, Zayan Aya 0 and Osman Dalia 0 – 4.5
      17-21. Mahmoud Mahetab 0, Yahia Amy 0, Ramadan Kholoud 0, Amin Lila Mohamed 0 and Aboud Engy 0 – 4
      22. Kandil Jomana 0 – 3
      23. Mostafa Menah Allah 0 – 2.5
      24-25. WIM Wafa Shahenda 1953 and Antar Safaa 0 – 2
