Difficult endgame, R and P endgame

It is White to move. This is a very difficult position for White. But does White have a chance to hold on for a draw? If yes, what would be the idea for White’s best shot?

White should offer a draw and black will take it.

Harassing the black king is obviously the key. The database says 4 moves draw. I would have guessed wrong about how to do it.

Keeping the rook on the e file and locking out the black king does not work.

        Re4 allows mate in 48
        Re6 allows mate in 42
        Re7 allows mate in 42

Though finding the right moves over the board would be a challenge for your opponent.

It turns out the key is to keep the rook on the 5th rank

        Reiner is right. Rh5, Rg5, Rf5, Rd5 all draw.
