Which are some of the other popular Facebook GMs? How many friends do they have in their lists? Which is the most popular GM on Facebook?

Kasparov has about 2,300 friends but it’s not the real Kasparov. It’s a fake account.

One of the most popular GM is Susan Polgar. Alexandra Kosteniuk is also very active in FB.

Kasparov’s profile is unfortunately fake, but GM Carlsen and Vesselin Topalov’s accounts are absolutely real.

I have Alexandra Kosteniuk on facebook. Can someone maybe put a list together of chess GM’s and other titled players on there and post it?

@Nikola – The last time I asked Topalov about whether he was on FaceBook was in February, and he wasn’t, but his Profile had been active for a while. So I’d bet that’s a fake.

Carlsen’s is real, Radjabov’s is not. It’s hit or miss and its not easy to verify remotely.

I’d bet the number of fake profiles for people even vaguely in the public eye is quite large.

Kasparov, Topalov, and Radjabov are all fake. Only Polgar, Zhu Chen and Carlsen are real.
