      General Trivia

This should be an easy one, especially for those who live in Europe 🙂

What is the name of this castle and where is it located? (No Googling please)

Bonus question: Which other castle was modeled after this one?

I think the Disneyland castle is designed copying some of the themes from this castle.

It is Neuschwastein, in Füssen, Southern Germany.

I have had the luck to be there twice. The whole place is wonderful, not only the Castle.

Ludwig II spent almost every coin of his small Bavarian kingdom to build this giant castle, after whom the DisneyWorld Castle was built.

As Ludwig was a great lover of Wagner’s work, he dedicated one entire room of the Castle to the Operah “Parsival” by Richard Wagner.

Close to Neuschwanstein there’s an older castle where Ludwig II lived while the newer one was being built.

Neuschwastein should be translated as NewSwanStone in english.

I strongly recommend you to travel to Füssen and Neuschwanstein, and I think the best time of year is April/May.

        Best Regards.
