      GM Kiril Georgiev top seed at Villa de Benasque
      Burmakin, Laznicka, Mamedov, and Kotronias are the 2600+ players

      GM Kiril Gerogiev, who is an official holder of Guiness chess record, will be the top seeded player at Torneo de ajedrez Villa de Benasque. The chess tournament will be a 9 round Swiss event, with the participation of 108 titled players from 30 countries.

      GM Georgiev comes from the Memorial Vicente Sebastian rapid event and will have as main opposition the other 2600+ players – GM Vladimir Burmakin, GM Viktor Laznicka, GM Nidjat Mamedov, and GM Vasilios Kotronias.

      Title contenders at Villa de Benasque will be several young players, among them the French jounior GM Romain Edouard, the Armenian GM Zaven Andriasian, the Spanish IM Xavier Villa Gazquez and the Indian GM Gopal.
