Background: I founded my first information technology company, Modern Solutions Inc., in 1997. The firm grew an average of 50 percent every year. In 2003, Modern Solutions was merged with Alliance Technologies Inc., and I become president. I have led the company to two major acquisitions and three consecutive years of double-digit revenue growth. As a result, Alliance Technologies was named to the Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest growing private companies in August 2007.

…How I give back to the community: United Way Leadership Circle, YMCA President’s Club, Greater Des Moines Catholic Youth Football League board member. Youth athletic coach in football, baseball, wrestling. St. Francis Elementary School Chess Club coach since 2003. St. Francis of Assisi parish member. Meals program to homeless volunteer. Technology Association of Iowa board member since 2000, past vice chairman, chairman and chair of the executive committee. University of Northern Iowa advisory boards to colleges of computer science and natural sciences.
