      GM Iordachescu and WFM Hincu lead 2016 Moldovan championships

      The 2016 Moldovan Individual Chess Championships for men and women are taking place from 2-10 February, in the Moldova’s capital city .

      Both events are played in a 10-player single round-robin format with time control 90′/40 moves + 30′ + 30″.

      GM Viorel Iordachescu leads the men’s section with 4.5/6 points, while 19 years old WFM Olga Hincu has perfect 6/6 score among women.

      Iordachescu has a full point advance in front of IM Vladimir Hamitevici and GM Dmitry Svetushkin.

      The title at the women’s championship might be decided at the seventh round, when Hincu meets IM Svetlana Petrenko, who is currently on second position with half a point less than the leader.
