      GM Yuri Vovk wins 4th International Open Salento

      The 4th International Open Salento took place from 23-30th May, 2015, at the Ecoresort Le Sirene ****, in Gallipoli, in the Italian Province of Lecce.

      The hotel is located within a lush green oasis, in one of the most beautiful bays of Salento (Puglia) with stunning views of the bay of Torre del Pizzo to hold the  9-round Swiss tournament with prize fund in total of 5,000 €.

      31 players from 11 different countries took part in the event. Ukrainian GM Yuri Vovk emerged a clear winner on 8/9 points, followed by his brother GM Andrey Vovk, who scored 7 points.

      Hungarian GM Jozsef Horvath remained third with 6,5 points. You can see the full standings below.
