      International Championship of Slovakia 2012

      The International Championship of Slovakia will be held from 7th to 15th July 2012 in Banská Štiavnica for the third year in succession. The Championship is managed by SSZ, Town and SK Banska Stiavnica, and will be played as Open A and Open B.

      In addition, Štiavnica Bughouse Championship is set for 11th July and Štiavnica Blitz Championship set for 12th July. Total prize fund for all events is 8.260,- €.

      Famous Grandmasters Sergei Movsesian and Zoltan Almasi will host a simultaneous exhibition and play a blindfold game with live chessmen on the town square on 16th July.

      The playing venue for the International Championship of Slovakia is the Cultural and public centre, Street Kammerhofská 1, Banská Štiavnica (near Hotel Grand-Matej).

      Tournament director is Milan Maroš, Chief Arbiter is Rastislav Diviak.
