Invitation to an International Senior Tournament

| Nørresundby Chess Club and Aalborg Chess Association invite you to an international senior tournament in honour and respect of the memory of GM Bent Larsen (1935 – 2010). | |
| Entitled to participate are men, who shall have reached the age of 50 by December 31st of the year 2016, and all members of 7th Region of Danish Chess Union and all women irrespective of age. | |
| Venue | Aalborg Katedralskole, Sankt Jørgens Gade 5, Aalborg, Denmark. |
| Period | Saturday Oct. 15 2016 to Friday Oct. 21 2016. |
| Time schedule | On Saturday the 15th: Registrations of arrival at venue from 12.30 to 13.20. Welcome at 13.30. 1st round starts at 14.00. The followings days the rounds starts at 11.00. On Wednesday the 19th: Reception at Aalborg Cityhall at 16-18 On Thursday the 20th: Event dinner at 18.00 On Friday the 21th: Distribution of prizes at 16.00 |
| System | 7 rounds following Danish (DSU) Swiss System. Tie-break: 1. Buchholz. 2. Progress |
| Time control | 90 min. for 40 moves and 30 min. to the end of the game. Time increment 30 sec. for each move. |
| ELO-rating | The tournament will be ELO – ratet. |

| Entry fees | 500 DKK. / junior 200 DKK / GM/IM free. |
| Prizes | Guaranteed 1. prize of 6.ooo DKK. Entry fees excluding rating fees goes to prizes. There will be special prizes for women, as well as 50+ and 65+. There will be rating prizes. |
| Canteen | It will be possible to buy coffee, tea, water, bear, sandwiches and goodies at the venue. |
| Event dinner | On Thursday the 20th at 18.00 in the premises of Nørresundby Skakklub. |
