It was wonderful to see the brand new Franklin Chess Center in Meadville, MS. The population of the city is about 500. The chess program, run by Dr. Jeff Bulington, started about 18 months ago. I am told that more 200 kids in the school district are taught chess! That is simply amazing!
On the way to the PanAm InterCollegiate Chess Championships in New Orleans, our bus took a detour to visit this wonderful chess center. We want to show our support for this magnificent program.
