      Jankovic, Baron and Bluebaum share first place in the 2014 International Styrian Open

      The 2014 International Styrian Open took place from 5th to 13th July, 2014, at the Bad Gleichenberg region of Austria.

      The event was organized by Georg Lupinski and Walter Kastner in a 9 round Swiss format with a time control 90 minutes for 40 moves plus 30 minutes for the rest of the game plus 30 seconds increment starting from move 1.

      The tournament was valid for FIDE rating and norms. The prize was in the amount of 18.000 €.

      First place was shared in a three-way tie by GM Alojzije Jankovic (Croatia), GM Tal Baron (Israel) and IM Matthias Bluebaum (Germany) on 6,5 points each.
