      Kavala Open 2013

      The 22nd Open International Tournament of Kavala is set to take place on 6-13th August at the Foyer of Kavala Prefecture Amphitheatre in Kavala, Greece.

      The tournament is organized by the Kavala Chess Club and East Macedonia & Thrace Chess Union.

      There will be three playing groups: Open A (for players rated over 1900), Open B (U2000 elo) and Open C (U1050 elo and U13 years of age). All groups will be played over nine rounds of Swiss system.

      The total prize fund is 8500 EUR. Top prizes are EUR 2000, 1200, 750, 500, 400 etc.
