      Let’s support the children!

Chess in Education, Germany, Scholastic chess

Since 2009, the ‘Schachzwerge’ (http://www.facebook.com/l/f7f87qnbRdXHJvs0tgdaWbU8i6A/www.schachzwerge-magdeburg.de/) is offering chess training in kindergartens and primary schools in the German city Magdeburg.

The club developed very fast and is now the second biggest chess club in Germany. It’s vision is to give every child in Magdeburg the opportunity to connect with the joy of chess.

Today the kids need some support for a competition on facebook, in which the club with the most “likes” wins 1000 Euros. At http://www.facebook.com/pages/Sparda-Bank-Berlin-Vereinsvoting/148573551879328 you can vote for the ‘Schachzwerge’.

Step one: click the ‘like’ button on the right top of the page.

Step two: scroll down to the picture of chess playing kids (the same picture as seen above) and click the ‘like’ button for the ‘Schachzwerge’.

That is all you need to do to support some little children who fell in love with the game of chess. 1,000 Euros will go a long way in helping this club grow to help more kids!

Thanks a lot for your support and have a nice day!

      Katharina
