The Las Vegas International Chess Festival 2012 was a resounding success, bringing together a large amount of quality chess events at the Riviera Hotel through the June heat in Vegas. The National Open chess tournament featured a star-studded cast of strong Grandmasters: Lenderman, Gareev, Akobian, Shankland, Robson, etc. and was a very hard-fought 6 round Open event.
