The 2016 Marienbad Open Tournament is taking place from January 16-23, in Marianske Lazne, Czech Republic.
The event is a 10-player single round robin tournament with the participation of: GM Kononenko Dmitry UKR 2618, IM Moulthun Ly AUS 2474, GM Teske Henrik GER 2461, GM Kim Alexey KOR 2460, IM Kobo Ori ISR 2437, IM Padmini Rout IND 2427, FM Vykouk Jan CZE 2427, IM Esserman Marc USA 2419, Siva Mahadevan IND 2370 and FM Szwed Jacek POL 2369.
The average Elo rating of the tournament is 2446 and it is valid for GM norms.
