        E:60 Chelsea Baker
The best player on the Plant City Little League Team, is a 13- year-old girl named Chelsea Baker. Taught the knuckleball by Joe Niekro, Chelsea has not lost a sanctioned game in four years.

My first thought would be a mating attack starting with Bf7:

        1. Bf7 Kf7 (Kf8 2.Rd7 any 3.Ne6#)
        2. Rd7 Kf8 (Kg8 3.Ne6 any 4.Rg7#)

And I have to admit, it took me a while to see the next move here. I spent most of my time trying to make Ne6 and Bg5 work. I now think Ne6 loses after Ke8 (if there is a win or draw for white, I am blind to it), and Bg5 looked good for a while, but then I found Bc4 for black and ran into a wall I couldn’t solve after 20 minutes. Finally, I started looking at non-obvious moves and found

        3. Rf6! Nf6 (Kg8 4.Ne6 any 5.Rg7#)
        4. Nh5 and regardless of which way the king goes, 5.Nf6 is mate.

        Girl Power,

When I first played Little League, the best player in the league was a girl named Jackie (I forget her last name after 33 years). She could outhit, outrun, and outfield any other player.
