      Morozevich wins another Rapid Grand Prix in Russia

      Grandmaster Alexander Morozevich has scored back-to-back victories in the Russian Rapid Grand Prix after grabbing the trophy in Cheboksary. Earlier this week he won the Star Trek tournament in Korolev.

      Cheboksary, the capital city of Chuvash Republic, Russia, hosted the V.D.Sergievsky Memorial from 11-13th April. The tournament format was 11-round Swiss with the time rate 15′+10”.

      Morozevich finished clear first with 9 points, leaving Sergei Rublevsky and Denis Khismatullin half a point behind. Full standings below.

      The total prize fund was 650,000 RUB (8700 EUR), with 1600 EUR reserved for the winner.
