NICE Chess Founder is ABC 13 New Social Media Coordinator

Lisa Suhay, Norfolk, Social Media, Virginia

I’m pleased to announce that Lisa Suhay will be joining WVEC next week as our Social Media Coordinator. This is a new position on our staff and Lisa’s background gives her outstanding preparation to help us ramp up our social media efforts. She has extensive experience as a reporter, editor, blogger, and social media author, including stints at the Virginian-Pilot, New York Times, and Christian Science Monitor. She’s involved in several excellent community projects and has also been a high school teacher, so she will be able to teach us all how to improve our skills in social media.

After a training period, she will be working 2:30-11:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and occupying the desk currently used by the Digital News Producers, Dottie and Shelly, who are relocating to the Assignment Desk area in order to improve communication with news coverage. Lisa’s first day is Tuesday, June 11.

      Thanks,
      Pete
