      Open de Ajedrez Vitoria-Gasteiz 2013

      Basque, Chess tournament, Spain

      The 5th Open de Ajedrez Vitoria-Gasteiz 2013 took place on 21-28th July at the Gran Hotel Lakua in Vitoria-Gasteiz, capital city of Basque Country, Spain.

      The tournament was organized by the Club de Ajedrez Buztinzuri and Asociación Deportiva Ruta de Europa. The 9-round swiss open had 69 participants from seven federations.

      GM Deepan Chakkravarthy (India), IM George-Catalin Ardelean (Romania) and FRANCO ALONSO IM Alejandro Franco Alonso (Spain) shared the first place with 7,0/9 points each. Deepan won the trophy on best tie-break score.

      Top prizes: EUR 2.000, 1.500, 1.000, 800, 600, 500 € etc
