It is a win for the White:
        1) Be8+, …; followed by gxh7

Since Susan Polgar says “White to move,” the answer most probably wouldn’t be “win for Black.”

        1. Be8+!! wins it for white. White plays 2. gxh6 whatever black plays (take the bishop or move away) and black cannot stop the promotion.

        1. Be8+! black has three moves, Kxe8, Kf8, and Kg8.

        1… Kxe8
        2. gxh6 Kf8
        3. h7 and black can’t stop queening

        1… Kf8
        2. gxh6 and if Kg8 to stop h7,
        3. f7+ and wins because black can’t hold both queening squares.

        1… Kg8
        2. Ke7! followed by f7+ and f8=Q.

        White wins.

One line, that would suggest a win for white:

        1.Be8+ Kxe8
        2.gxh6 Kf7
        3.h7

And now the pawn is unstoppable. The Knight cannot get to g5 in time to guard h7, and f6 cannot be taken because Black does not have time to do so.

The other option, not taking the Bishop, doesn’t look good either…

        1. Be8+ seems to win.

        A. …K:e8 loses to gh and queens.

        B. …Kf8 2. gh Kg8 3. f7+ and one pawn will queen

        C. …Kg8 2. gh and if the K moves toward either pawn, the other queens. Or, if the K remains stationary, f7+ wins.
