Attention all Polgar Chess University Members
WCL is proud to announce that this Saturday, April 17, 2010, at 7:00 PM EDT (Server Time) Susan Polgar will be sponsoring her First Annual Celebration Tournament, representing 1 year of success and a great response from all the PCU members. Susan will be present in channel 341 (the official PCU Channel) 30 minutes prior to start time, arriving on WCL about 6:30 PM EDT to chat with you all.
At 7:00 PM we will start an 11 Round Swiss Tournament, loaded with prizes, in channel 228 (the RequestBot channel).
The time control for this PCU event will be 5 1.
Please be sure that you have channel 228 added to your list of channels; You do that by clicking on the Dbl Cloud Information Button at the top on your toolbar, and selecting (clicking) channel 228. This tournament will be run by one of our Admins and Admin Manager, RdgMx.
Here is the breakdown of prizes that you will all be competing for:
PCU1 (Beginner level) winner will receive a choice of Book or DVD from her website (www.polgarchess.com)
PCU2 (Intermediate Level) winner will receive a choice of Book or DVD from her website (www.polgarchess.com)
OVERALL Tournament winners will be 1st, 2nd, 3rd. Each winner will receive a choice of Book or DVD from her website (www.polgarchess.com)
(please note, you can only win one prize, so should you qualify in both PCU1, or PCU2 and OVERALL that 2nd prize will go to the NEXT in line.)
In addition WCL will announce, at start time, three Classes, and will award 2 Free Months of membership extensions, to WCL for each Class winner. An example might be U1200, U1450, U1900 etc. Repeating, these classes will be announced just prior to Tournament Start Time.
Finally we will have 6 Random Draw Winners, chosen at the END of the tournament. Each of these winners will receive a 1 month WCL membership extension as well.
