      29th April to 3rd May, Vladimir Kramnik confirmed participation

      The President’s Cup, dedicated to the memory of Heydar Aliyev, the 3rd President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, will take place from 29th April to 3rd May in Baku, extratime.az informs.

      Former World Champion Vladimir Kramnik will lead the field of eight players who will compete in rapid and blitz play, and on the final day host simultaneous exhibitions along the Baku seaside.

      Other international players are Judit Polgar from Hungary, Gata Kamsky from USA, who is a frequent guest in Baku, and Emil Sutovsky of Israel.

      Azerbaijan will be represented by four players, until now Teimour Radjabov and Shakhriyar Mamedyarov are confirmed.

      World Champion Viswanathan Anand participated in the last year’s President Cup, but this time he will be busy defending the title in the match against Veselin Topalov.
