      Tight battle for the first place

      This year’s Romanian Team Chess Championship – CN de Sah pe Echipe Superliga Feminin – is seeing one of the closest competition for first places in the history of the tournament. After 7 rounds CS AEM Luxten Timisoara and CS Politehnica Iasi are tied on top of the standings with 13 match points, while CSM Bucuresti is just a point behind, but with better tiebreak in hand.

      In the race for individual medals board 1 is clearly dominated by GM Pia Cramling, who has 7,0/7, two points more than her closest contestant WGM Alina L’Ami. Board 2 is a tie between WIM Irina Bulmaga and WGM Carmen Voicu-Jagodzinsky with 5,5/7, while board 3 standings are led by the untitled Adeline-Ramona Uta.
