I made the artwork kind of red for more decisive results tomorrow 🙂
Are you ready for round 2? Can we expect more fighting? What is your prediction? Here are the matchups:
Levon Aronian – Viswanathan Anand (my pick for the game of the round)
Vladimir Kramnik – Alexander Morozevich (this is my second choice for game of the round)
Peter Svidler – Peter Leko
Boris Gelfand – Alexander Grischuk
Here is the official website.
I do not know what kind of numbers the official site have for the first round. However, here are some stats about followers of the World Championship on this blog:
Around 20,000 people followed the LIVE commentary on this blog today. Over 140 people joined the brand new www.ChessDiscussion.com forum (just launched earlier today). The record for one day on this blog was 127,000+ people during one of the last games of the Kramnik – Topalov match in Elista.
I see at least 3 draws tomorrow.
Here is a question for Susan. I am looking at these players and these matchups… I don’t think it would be possible to call any victory by any player an upset. Do you agree? I really don’t think rating points mean very much in this contest…
I would still call it an upset in some cases but a very small one. Any of these players can win any given game. I cannot say that I would be very surprised with any result.
Best wishes,
Susan Polgar
but where the hell is topalov ???
🙂
I think he is somewhere between disgrace and reprimand…
