      Safarli shares 3rd in Moscow Open

      Eltaj Safarli shares 3rd-4th places in Moscow Open

      The Moscow Open chess festival continues in Moscow.

      Azerbaijan’s Eltaj Safarli, who takes part in the main tournament of the festival, played a draw with Russian Eugeniy Alexeyev in the fifth round. Azerbaijani grandmaster gained three points and he shares the 3-4th places with Sanan Sugirov from Russia. Russian Ernesto Inarkiyev and Byelorussian Sergey Zhigalko are both leading with 3.5 points each.

      The tournament with participation of 12 young chess players will be held in one-round system and end on 6 February.
