I thought SNL did a good job of not taking one political side over the other, lampooning both Palin and Clinton. Tina Fey did a GREAT job imitating Palin’s looks & voice. Overall, very funny.

There is no way you can see Russia from Palin’s home.

I get on my monitor: “The requested video cannot be displayed in your region.”
But when I was a citizen of the USA, I vote for Cynthia McKinney, candidate for the Green Party.
Obama and McCain want ‘a change’, but at the end there is no any difference between the Democrats and the Republicans

How high above Palin’s home do you have to be to see Russia?

When I lived in Detroit, I could see Canada, so if McCain wins, I hope to be Secretary of State.

“not taking one political side over the other”?

        Now THAT IS funny.

It is a viscious attack on a fine woman and our next vice president.

From Wisilla, AK to the closest part of Russia is about 1100km, so you would have to be about 93km high for it to be on your horizon.

To counter the last comment, GOP strategist Ed Rollins (political director for Reagan, Huckabee’s campaign head this year) liked the skit, and thought Palin stood out well, in commentary at CNN.com today.

I’m just waiting for SNL to take apart Biden in the same way they would Bush if he asked a crippled guy to stand up.

GOLDEN, Colo. (Sept. 15) – Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin said Monday she would concentrate on energy, government reform and helping families with special needs children if the GOP wins the White House this fall, and drew cheers when she said, “too often government is the problem” rather than the solution.

Campaigning on her own, the Alaska governor also said Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama “wants to raise income taxes and raise payroll taxes and raise investment income taxes and raise business taxes and raise the death tax.

“But John McCain and I know that’s not the way you grow the economy,” she added.

In fact, independent groups such as the Tax Policy Center have concluded that four out of five U.S. households would receive tax cuts under Obama’s proposals.
McCain’s selection of Palin a little over two weeks ago has brought renewed enthusiasm to his campaign, particularly among conservatives who have long been wary of him. Yet the governor, with little experience outside her own state, has largely been kept out of public view while aides seek to bring her up to date on a range of issues.

The current trip is her first outside her home state without McCain.

Appearing before an enthusiastic crowd in swing-state Colorado, Palin struck populist themes. She said that as governor of Alaska she had broken “the old oil monopoly that had controlled” the state, and eliminated the “good-ol’-boys network of lobbyists and special interests” once in power.
She also referred to her time as mayor of Wasilla in terms that echoed former President Reagan, a hero to many conservatives.

What would the reaction be if Obama had a 17-yr old daughter that was pregnant? Or if Biden had been unfaithful to his wife and married an heiress? Just wondering…

Or if Biden had lost his wife in an accident that also severely injured his 2 sons…what kind of father would he be to pursue a political career?

        A great one!! Because he’s a Democrat!!
