      Sberbank Cup in Novosibirsk, Morozevich top seed

      Rapid chess, Russia

      The Cup of Siberian Bank OAO Sberbank Russia will be held on 16-18th November at the bank’s building in 20 Serebrennikovskaya street in Novosibirsk.

      Eleven top Russian Grandmasters will compete in the round robin tournament with the rapid time control 15′+10”.

      Dmitry Jakovenko 2741 – European champion 2012
      Dmitry Andreikin 2723 – Russian champion 2012, World Junior champion 2010
      Ian Nepomniachtchi 2707 – Russian and European champion in 2010
      Ernesto Inarkiev 2693
      Sergei Rublevsky 2688
      Evgeny Bareev 2663
      Sanan Sjugirov 2624 – winner of the recent Barcelona Magistral
      Dmitry Bocharov 2620
      Pavel Smirnov 2610
      Pavel Maletin 2567

      The prize fund is 550,000 RUB (about 13,700 EUR), the winner will earn 150,000 RUB (3,700 EUR). Chief arbiter is Alexander Khasin.

      Admission is free for spectators. The Festival will also include lectures by Grandmasters, simultaneous exhibitions, chess cafe, photo shoot and children’s corner.
