      International Women’s Chess Tournament Cotroceni
      2nd to 11th March in Bucharest, Romania

      International Women’s Chess Tournament Cotroceni is being played from 2nd to 11th March in Bucharest, Romania. The 10-player round robin event is sporting a high average elo of 2456.

      GM Monika Socko is topping the crosstable after six rounds, despite the today’s defeat against WGM Valentina Gunina, but the leading margin has narrowed down to half a point. On Tuesday the players are taking a rest, in order to celebrate 8th March – International Women’s Day.
