      Press release from: Zelfi AG

(openPR) – Chess is one of the world’s most popular games and now available to play on mobile phones. This is good entertainment on the way and ambitious amusement for chess players.

Train your skills of strategy and tactic. Risk a game of chess against the computer. Chess is played on a square board of eight rows and eight columns of squares. Normally a board game and token is used to play. But the great advantage of the mobile game is that no pawn is dropping from the squared board any more.

With chess on the mobile it is easy to have a short match during the daily routine.

This is a part of the press release by Zelfi AG.

There is no slowing down in chess popularity. The question is can organizations like the USCF or FIDE take advantage of this.

Apparently, they are going to release a chess program (maybe chessmaster?) for the Nintendo DS this fall. We banned the DS from the school bus but we may make an exception for DS Chess.

This remembered me that I trying to do the Pocket fritz ( 2 )work in my pockets pc since the beginning of the year. I bought first the pocket fritz, then I bought the first pocket pc. Fritz didnt work on it. Then I bought the second pocket pc. And the pocket fritz didnt work on it either! But I didnt give up yet.
These pocket programs are interesting, and very useful, but we have to have a lot of patience with them.

I’m trying to find a handheld chess program which allows blindfold play. Turn the “bug” of a tiny display into the “feature” of great visualization exercise.

Does anyone know of a program with a blindfold option, preferably for the BlackBerry?
