        I notice that he is playing with a very old analogue clock- is this a special courtesy to him (and what he is used to)?

        It is interesting to see that they allow personal preferences.

        Actually, it looks like a standard model, same as the current quartz-analog ones.

        It’s not like it’s an old Jerger.

        I see them at tournaments regularly, don’t you?

        I guess it is different in America- where I am from everyone plays with the same clocks in the same tournament. This was the only one I saw that was not digital in the photographs here, but I admit the digital ones seem to vary a bit, in colour and perhaps design.

        In any case as it is analogue and not digital- couldn’t the opponent disagree and want a digital one (if he is used to it)?

        Well, truth be told, they reconstituted him with a little water added to his freezer bag. Previously he was freeze-dried and put away in storage to wait for the future when giant spiders ruled the world, but he did ask to be brought back for the Vegas Open. He goes back into storage after the tournament.
