Topa can smell Magnus breathing down his neck.
What is the difference between the scoring systems? The results are exactly the same. They ought to keep the old system and get rid of the new system – all too confusing!!!
You are somewhat wrong about the score 11:54:00, as it benefit the ones with the most wins like Topa and Mangus.
With the old system the 3 guys at the bottom of the table would get even with Mangus if one of them played him now and beat him (and end up with 3 points each. With the new system they would end up with 7 points and Magnus would still be one point up as he has more victories. So there is a difference, even though it doesn’t show at the score board right now…
Topa won with black against Magnus, so he has white to come. I rather think Magnus smells Topa’s behind.

Fact is that the standings are the same as in traditional scoring system. And there aren’t any less draws than usual either.
So the new scoring is bull.
Your point is bull. You’re either not smart enough to understand the difference mathemetic-wise, or … well … worse.
And one more point: If this was the standings before the last round, Topa could’nt play a “safe” draw and secure 1 place (either clear first or shared). If Magnus won his game, then he would take clear first if Topa drew. In my opinion: a very good scoring-system!
Again IF. That doesn’t count. You can twist it back and forth what MIGHT happen, but the fact remains – there is absolutely no difference in standings if you use the “Bilbao system” or traditional system of scoring. Another fact is that there are no less draws than usual. And I doubt that there will be any difference in the final standings.

Smart people don’t have to use personal attacks to defend their position. They use arguments.

I said that the standings are the same. And yes, I know that temporarly after round 6 the standings are not the same, but they will be by the end of tournament. Just wait and see.
