How about Rxd5? Then, black’s queen is hanging. If he exchanges, ..Qxc1, then Rxd8+ and white emerges a piece up after Rxc1.

        3. Rxc1 wins a Knight.

        1. Rxd5…any capture of the Rook
        2. Qxf4 wins Queen and Knight for a Rook.

Rxd5! wins the knight. Black has to exchange or move the Queen in the next move in order to keep it, allowing the white rook to continue its path down the d-file and give a check on d8.

        Black queen is hanging…
        1. Rxd5!
If black plays 1..Bxd5 or 1..exd5 or 1.. Rxd5 then white can simply take the black queen.

        If 1.. Qxc1 then White keeps an extra piece with 2. Rxd8+ Rxd8 3. Rxc1

        🙂

I’d say remove the black queen’s defender with
        1.Rxd5
Black can’t take the rook because of 2.Qxf4, and if black decides to trade the queens with
        1…, Qxc1
        white has the zwischenzug
        2.Rxd8+
After black takes the rook, white captures the queen
        2…, Rxd8
        3.Rxc1
        leaving white a piece up.

Van Wely is playing great since he met his new girlfriend WIM Lorena Zepeda from El Salvador. She’s a hottie.
