      WGM Zhongyi Tan wins 2015 FIDE Zonal 3.5

      The 2015 FIDE Zonal Chess Championship 3.5 took place from June 30 to July 6, in Zhongshan, China. The event was a qualification for the Women’s World Championship.

      The format of the tournament was 11-round Swiss with tempo of play 90′ + 30″.

      2015 Chinese champion for women WGM Zhongyi Tanemerged a convincing winner at 8,5/11 points, winning the nearest followers a full point behind.

      WIM Mo Zhai and WIM Shiqin Ni tied for the second at 7,5 points but Zhai prevailed on a better tie-break score.
