      WGMs Zozulia and Gvetadze win FIDE Arena 2nd Qualification Women Tournament

      The second qualifying tournament of the FIDE World Online Women Blitz Championship 2015 took place on July 9 on the official FIDE Online Arena.

      29 female players from 18 different countries participated in the event. Top seed was World Women’s #3 GM Humpy Koneru of India.

      Anutiki18 (WGM, IM Anna Zozulia) and Gvetadze (WGM, IM Sofio Gvetadze) tied for the first place at 8,5/11 points, leaving the nearest followers a full point behind.

      blitzmaster (GM Humpy Koneru), Zolanski (WGM Andjelija Stojanovic), Saintess (WGM, IM Vijayalakshmi S), chemoighte (WIM Monica Sihite Chelsie), tavlasha (WGM Tatyana Shadrina) and MarthaFierro (WGM, IM Martha Fierro) are the other players who qualified for Semifinal.

      The 1st FIDE World Online Women Blitz Championship 2015 is a new attractive event in which players can participate from the comfort of their home, without costs associated with the airfares and hotels.

      The first stage of the Championship will be completed over eight (8) qualifier tournaments, followed by a semifinal with 64 players, and a final tournament with 10 players.

      The winner of the Championship will be awarded with the prestigious title of FIDE World Online Women Blitz Champion and a rich prize fund of 9000 USD will be distributed in the final tournament.

      5 Saintess WGM/IM Vijayalakshmi S (2318) India 7.0
      6 chemoighte WIM Chelsie Monica Ignesias Sihite 2188 Indonesia 6,5
      7 tavlasha WGM Tatyana Shadrina 2333 Russian Federation 6,5
      8 MarthaFierro WGM/IM Martha Fierro 2352 Ecuador 6,5
