      Chess Set, Lottery

$37M lotto winner wants a chess set
      By LISA ABEL

TORONTO (CP) – He’s 55 years old, single, with no children, lives in a rooming house, and has been on disability since October.

Oh, and Graham Gelineau is also $37 million richer after winning Saturday’s whopping Lotto 6-49 jackpot – the largest single-ticket prize to be claimed in Ontario.

…Gelineau said he would share the money with family and friends, and donate some to charities.

…”I’ll buy a new chess set,” he said.

      Here is the full story.

you can share them. Lots of people would do a lot of good if only a chance was given to them.

Don’t you think this story sends a terrible message to kids, like you have to win the lottery to buy a chess set, or something?

        A new potential Chess Sponsor.

Giving money to his friends will only make things worse. It has already been tried and failed by a guy who won $315 million.

On the contrary, it sends the message that even with all sorts of money, chess is one of lifes pleasures.

Donate 1/6 of what remains after taxes to Kasparov, 1/6 to Fischer, 1/6 to Susan, 1/6 to Medicine, 1/6 to fight world hunger, 1/6 to the United Nations to promote international peace, 1/6 to Russia just because they are so corrupt, 1/6 to the mob for protection, 1/6 to the IRS because they are such nice people, 1/6 to establish a US Chess league, 1/6 to all my friends, 1/6 to my favorite college, 1/6 to aliens to show that we are nice, 1/6 to my church…well just because, 1/6 to my mommy and daddy, 1/6 to Judit because she needs all the help she can get, 1/6 to Santa Claus because he has no workers’ compensation, 1/6 to establish a judicial review fund for death row inmates everywhere…
