Caruana is the most probably to dethrone Carlsen, he’s getting stronger and more experience player recently.
Wesley So for the second choice for the same reason.
        Why Wesley So?
His secret is: He doesn’t have any Cell phone!
No Samsung nor iPhone, they all will wreck your Focus and Energy, two things were important for chess at top level where it’s a thin air up there.
He even rarely take a look at the internet, He lives in the Titanic era, maybe in the medieval age.
All the unnecessary stress and nerve tension in modern days, came from the garbage news from TV, Cell phones that keep ringing, let alone text messages, Whats App etc. and last but not least The Internet !
Chess player must lives a peace life, no hazzle nor disturbances.
They have to focus to their dreams!
That’s where Wesley So triumph recently.

To Riska Dirgananda, I see your point about the cell phone, but super GM’s don’t need a cell phone because what they need are powerful laptops or PC’s with heavy-duty chess softwares installed. Imagine analyzing a game in a Chessbase database software with the help of Komodo, Houdini and Stockfish.

If Rapport who was second to last in 2017 Tata Steel Chess was able to beat Carlsen , why can’t Wesley So? He just need to beat Carlsen decisively in one game to have that extra confidence that he needs should they meet in a championship game.
