        Nisipeanu
I cannot get over the shock that he sent Ivanchuck home.
Indeed Nisipeanu had been cataloged as a great promise. Now he cashed the debt, Ivanchuck being his victim. And he did it convincingly and with style and original ideas. Not being afraid to play aggressive. He surprised Ivanchuck and the world. I do not envy Ivancuck . He probably took this beating hard. Don’t blame him. Cheer up Ivanchuck, until your next success.

        Kamsky vs Svidler

is going to be a difficult battle for Gata. I hope he wins. But Svidler will not be easy to beat.

Adams vs Carlsen will be interesting. I think Carlsen will win.

See a colorful graphic chart of the pairing tree, with the upcoming matches.

There are two views: one with the complete pairings, and other with the top 16 survivors.

Pono has been shaky from the start, and i would like Sasikiran to knock him out.

The results reveal that this format is truly a ‘lucky dip’.What irks me is that ‘Topailov’ undeservedly awaits the winner of the World cup.It will be very stressful for any opponent to play ‘Topailov’,as,in the back of his mind,Topa’s opponent will be wondering about what new (dirty)tricks Topa and co will come up with.

“Topa’s opponent will be wondering about what new (dirty)tricks Topa and co will come up with.”

He is preparing the famous Russian “Wet-Willy”.

Keep an eye out for it!

Everyone on the left will advance, except for Aronian and Carlsen.

With Ivanchuk out, I am rooting for Shirov. Shirov-Topalov should be exciting.
