      Belarussia, chess grants

174 young sportsmen and coaches-teachers get grants of Presidential Sports Club this year.

At a solemn ceremony grant-aided students got nominal certificates.

By Elena Gorelchik: At her first international chess competitions – the European Chess Championship U10 – seven-year-old Nastia Zeziulkina won bronze. This year, almost 9 years later, the Belarusian chess player became the world champion among juniors.

(Anastasia Zeziulkina, twofold world chess champion among juniors)

It is a tradition to honor the most talented young sportsmen and coaches with nominal grants at the Presidential Sports Club.

From January onwards 154 sportsmen and 20 coaches-teachers will receive grants. The sizes of grants have also increased.
