When I was a child, one of my dreams was to own my own chess center. That dream became a reality 10 years ago.
Since that time, the Polgar Chess Center has hosted over 30 grandmasters and super grandmasters, some of the top juniors, the 2004 US Women’s Olympiad training program and silver medalist team, thousands of chess players of all levels, and countless USCF rated tournaments.
Today, my sister Sofia and her husband Dr. and Grandmaster Yona Kosashvili will join me in our 10th anniversary celebration. It has been a wonderful 10 years and I hope there will be many more to come! I would like to thank ALL the supporters, patrons and volunteers who have helped over the past 10 years to make this a premier club. Without you, the Polgar Chess Center would not exist.

I have a question for Mr. Goichberg, Channing and Schultz. How come the Polgar Chess Center has never been recognized by the USCF even though it is a premier full time chess club and has done so much for chess? Is it because of chess politics?

The Polgar Chess Center is not a club affiliate of the USCF? I thought you had to be an affiliate to run all those rated tournaments.

I think that person meant that the USCF has never given the PCC any award of excellence while they give out awards each year to other much less known clubs. Of course it has to do with chess politics. They vote for their friends and buddies and not outsiders.
