      19th Fajr International Chess Open Tournament
      25th February to 7th March in Mashhad, northeastern Iran

      The Chess Association of “Khorasan-Razavi” province on behalf of I.R.Iran Chess Federation has the honor to invite all chess players from national federations to participate in the 19th Fajr International Chess Open Tournament that will be held in Mashhad, northeastern of Iran, from 25 February – 7 March, 2011. The tournament is starting shortly after the 9th Khazar International Chess Cup, which concludes on 22nd February, also in Iran.

      A number of strong Grandmasters are signed to play in the event: Rustam Kasimdzhanov 2681 UZB, Aleksandr Moiseenko 2670 UKR, Boris Grachev 2660 RUS, Mikheil Mchedlishvili 2641 GEO, Sergey Tiviakov 2623 NED, Anton Filippov 2620 UZB, Andrey Sumets 2619 UKR, Merab Gagunashvili 2619 GEO, Gadir Guseinov 2604 AZE, Sergey Volkov 2602 RUS, Aleksei Fedorov 2593 BLR, Aleksandr Rakhmanov 2590 RUS, Evgeny Gleyzerov 2581 RUS, Nidjat Mamedov 2580 AZE, Konstantine Shanava 2560 GEO.

      Participation:

      – Participation in the 19th Fajr International Chess Tournament is open to all Chess Players.
      – Each National Chess Federation has right to nominate and send one player as official invited player.
      – Organizing Committee shall provide free participation, domestic Transfer (from airport to hotel and return) and full board accommodation (with 3 meals per day) in 5 stars Hotel, for official invited players as well as GM title holders and +2500 rated chess players.

      Registration Fee:
      US Dollar / Rating
      Free / Higher than 2400 and GM’s
      60 $ US / 2399-2300
      90 $ US / 2299-2200
      120 $ US / 2199-2100
      180 $ US / and unrated players 2100
      Registration will close on 20th February 2011

      Charge of hotel:
      1 – Organizing Committee shall provide free participation, full board accommodation (with 3 meals per day) single room for +2600 rated chess players in 5 stars Hotel in twin room for official invited players as well as GM title holders and +2500 rated chess players from 25 February – 7 March.
      2 – Players with rating between 2400-2499 should pay 65$ for full board accommodation (with 3 meals per day) in 5 stars Hotel in twin room.
      3 – Other chess players should pay 70$ for full board accommodation (with 3 meals per day) in 5 stars Hotel.
      4 – There are suitable rooms for reservation with wireless internet in Farid hotel (3 star)

      Tournament System:
      – The 19th Fajr International Chess Open Tournament will be played in 11 rounds Swiss System.
      – The time control shall be 90 minutes for whole game with an increment of 30 seconds per move starting from move 1.
      – The FIDE Laws of Chess shall apply.
      – The tournament will be FIDE rated.
      – The Swiss Manager program shall be used for pairings.

      SPCIAL PRIZE
      US $ 170 / 15% / 200 / First of unrated player
      US $ 170 / 15% / 200 / First of khorasanian player
      US $ 170 / 15% / 200 / First of under 14 year old
      US $ 170 / 15% / 200 / First of -2100 rated player
      US $ 170 / 15% / 200 / First of -1900 rated player

      1 – Prizes will not be share between
      2 – Special prizes will be award if the players will not be in the first to tenth ranking.
