      2 World Champions met in Tromsø

      Stefanova, Sven Wisløff Nilssen, Tromsø


      Two world champions met in the 4th round in Tromsø, Antoaneta Stefanova (former women’s world chess champion) and Jon Kristian Røyset (2223) who lives in Tromsø and won the World Championship in backgammon in Monte Carlo 2003.

      In the 4th round of the Arctic Chess Challenger GM Kjetil A. Lie beat super GM Alexander Moiseenko and GM Bartlomiej Macieja beat second seed GM Bartosz Socko and they are the only players with a perfect score.

      9 GM Alexander Moiseenko 2641 UKR 3.0

      Magnus Carlsen won easily in the 4th round and will meet his teacher at NTG (a norwegian college for top athletes) Simen Agdestein in the 5th round.

        hi Susan,

        Fabiano Caruana won again, in Vlissingen (Netherlands) beating GM Stellwagen 2650. now he has 6 on 6 !!!

        in the tournament there are also kasimzhanov,kransenkow, tiviakov,Peralta.Ikonnikov…Fabiano probably should play with them in next rounds.
