Canadian Master David Zhang is becoming a rising star in the Canadian chess scene. Recently, he became Canadian champion of his grade (10) and age (U-16) section. In the last round David played against none other than the 2010 U-10 World Champion, FM Jason Cao. After a long struggle as the game lasted for 97 moves, David pulled out the victory and became the new Canadian Junior Chess Champion. I would like to congratulate David Zhang on his victory and wish him the best of luck at the World Junior Chess Championship in Athens, Greece!
