      2012 Nis Open

      Chess tournament, Serbia


      The 2012 Nis Open was held from 11th to 18th March in Nis, Serbia. This year the traditional City Championship gained in quality thanks to the effort of the Nis Chess Union.

      70 players competed in the 9-round Swiss tournament. Four International Masters shared the first place with 7 points each, but Miroslav Miljkovic is declared winner on best tie-break score. A year ago Miljkovic played the rapid match against Anatoly Karpov in Nis.
