      21st Abu Dhabi International Chess Festival

      The 21st Abu Dhabi International Chess Festival Masters Tournament will take place from 20-29th August at the Abu Dhabi Chess & Culture Club in United Arab Emirates.

      The Festival is supported by the Abu Dhabi Sport Council and consists of following sections:

      – Masters Tournament for foreign players rated above 2000 elo and all Abu Dhabi players
      – Open Tournament for players rated under 2000 elo
      – Junior Tournament under 16-years (Swiss system 7 rounds, with qualification and knock-out final)
      – Blitz tournament (Swiss system of 11 rounds, 3 min + 2 sec increment)
      – Simultaneous exhibitions
      – Media and journalists tournament
      – Homeland protectors’ tournament (Participation is limited to members of the military and police)

      The total prize fund is 30,000 USD.
